My EXO’rDIUM in Manila Experience
Earlier this year, EXO came back to Manila to hold a 2-night concert for the second time! I must say, tickets for K-pop shows sell really fast these days. A few years ago, I could still get the seat I want without having to buy the tickets on the first day of ticket selling. Not this time though, you really have to anticipate and compete with a lot of fans. >.< But this isn’t a blog on how to get the ticket you want. I’ll talk about that some other time. ๐
My ticket
I was seated in the VIP section – center. The price makes you think of all the things you can buy or experience with that amount but there’s really nothing we can do about it. The expenses to produce a show for foreign acts can get really expensive here, compared to our neighboring Asian countries so I’m thankful toย the concert producers and organizers that believe in the power of K-pop and K-pop fans in the Philippines. Also, I only go to concerts of K-pop groups I reeeaaally like and it only happens a few times in your life so I just go for it. Just make sure to save money and that you won’t go broke after! ๐
D-Day Concert Day!
This year, the chosen venue was the Smart Araneta Coliseum. I got really excited because I knew that we would be nearer to the stage! *showers confetti*
As usual, fans gathered around the dome during the day. Some gave out freebies while others used the opportunity to sell merchandise (What’s a kpop concert without merch??). I’ll share a few photos and videos I took at the concert below.
Seeing them for the second time in a concert still felt like the first time. The excitement will always be there. ๐
Xiumin had so much energy that night. It was like he really tried his best because he couldn’t move around last year due to his injury (same with Kai). We saw your effort, Xiumin! Thanks a lot!~<3
The fairest member (in person) is still Suho, for me. He’s literally shining and so white! Haha…
Kai also did not disappoint. His moves were aweeeesoooome as always and it’s such a great feeling to see him dance in person. Although, I don’t know what he ate or something but his tummy kinda hurt during the concert and he couldn’t hold the pain at some points while performing. :/ I didn’t like seeing him like that.
Anyway, I took a lot of fancams but they were mostly Kai’s (UB). LOL. I won’t upload everything though.
I tend to look at my watch every passing hour and think that this moment is going to end soon. T_T
On the positive note, looking at my watch reminds me to keep enjoying what little time we have left.
The concert lasted for 3.5 hours. Too long but too short as well. ;p
I’m looking forward to the next time I see them perform. EXO daebak!
BTW, by the time I publish this post, there would already be news about EXO’s 2017 comeback in July. Can’t wait for that too~!!
