Where to stay in Bangkok – Cheap and Convenient Location

Where to stay in Bangkok? – Hotel
It was my first time in Bangkok, Thailand with my relatives. We stayed in Pratunam, a district known and best suited for people looking for cheap accommodation and overwhelmingly cheap shopping. We ended up booking Metro Resort Pratunam, a hotel located near convenience stores, sidewalk vendors (street food, yey!), and malls.
It was a nice hotel. Not luxurious, not run-down either. Better than average. Find out more about this hotel here.
You could walk to nearby malls like Pantip Plaza and Platinum Fashion Mall (Faaaave!). There’s also a 7/11 store just a few steps away. Street food vendors can be seen near this hotel too. You could find vendors selling Thailand’s famous go-to street snacks.
Where to stay in Bangkok? – Shopping
My favorite part of staying in this area was the walking distance to Platinum Fashion Mall. After visiting tourist spots, I spent the rest of my days in Bangkok at this mall. Yep, just one day isn’t enough to reach every nook and cranny of each floor. The prices are so cheap! There are loooaaaads of fashionable decent clothing at wholesale price! You get them even cheaper the more you buy in the same store (minimum 2pcs). If you like Asian fashion, you will really enjoy shopping here. This isn’t the place if you prefer high-end shops, though. There’s also a nice food court at the 6th floor if you get hungry (oh you will, definitely) while shopping.
Where to stay in Bangkok? – Food
Looking for a place to eat isn’t a problem here in Pratunam and Metro Resort. You can get a quick grub from street food vendors and there are cafes and restaurants near the hotel. No need to get a ride because everything can be reached just by walking.
Pratunam is the place to stay in Bangkok if you want very affordable hotel rates, cheap food, and wholesale price shopping. Everything is within reach!
